Advanced Model Measurement Technology for the Maritime Industry (AMT) Conference Series have been organized bi-annually since 2009. AMT’23 will be jointly working with Journal of Ocean Engineering to publish a special issue about the state-of-the-art development in model and full-scale measurement technology for maritime industry.

This special issue aims to invite the AMT’23 Authors and other engineers and researchers from both industry and academia to publish the recent progress of their applications involving the conference topics and other maritime applications. This is to review the current challenges faced in this area and make useful contribution to explore future directions of the measurement technologies for the maritime industry applications and research.

Submission Guidelines

Only original manuscripts can be submitted, according to the ‘Guide for Authors’ published on the Ocean Engineering website http://www.journals.elsevier.com/ocean-engineering. As regards the online submission system of Ocean Engineering, the authors are invited to follow the link “Submit your Paper”, located in the main page of the Journal website, and submit manuscript to Article Type “VSI: AMT for maritime” in Ocean Engineering.

Please mention the name of the Special Issue in your cover letter. All manuscripts will be peer-reviewed in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the journal. The final papers will be selected for publication depending on the results of the peer review process and the reviews of the Guest Editors and the Editor-in-Chiefs.

Virtual Special Issues

The journal is now publishing its special issues as Virtual Special Issues [VSIs], which offers additional benefits to authors. Articles are published as they are accepted individually, in a regular issue; they are not dependent upon the rest of the special issue’s collection of papers to reach the same stage. Simultaneously, they publish in an online collection easily discoverable on ScienceDirect, where the VSI collections are listed on the left-hand sidebar. Articles are added to the VSI as they publish and appear in whichever regular issue is being compiled as they are accepted by the editor. This offers both increased visibility as well as a faster turnaround time for authors who would like to see their work formally published.
